Applied AI Research for Aquaculture Automation
KSIS Lab faculty are involved in applied AI research for aquaculture automation and disease prediction.
KSIS Lab faculty are participating in a funded research project applying machine learning to aquaculture management. The project aims to develop AI-based systems for monitoring fish health, predicting disease outbreaks, and supporting automation in aquaculture facilities.
Dr. Ameer A. Mohammed serves as Principal Investigator on this project, with Dr. Abbas A. Fairouz and Dr. Jassim M. Aljuraidan as co-investigators. The collaboration brings together the lab's expertise in machine learning, intelligent systems, and applied computing.
This project illustrates how foundational research in intelligent systems can be directed toward practical applications in food security and agricultural technology.
